About the Company

A global biopharmaceutical company are looking for a contract Project Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract. The project will include a diverse mix of capital and expense projects on Manufacturing, Labs, Process, Utilities and Automation/IT (AIT) Systems.

About your new job

  • Responsible for meeting project goals in safety, finances, schedule, and scope.
  • Ensure projects follow engineering standards, company policies, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to align with project goals.
  • Adhere to project management principles for project lifecycle management.
  • Develop project concepts and business cases with stakeholders.
  • Lead and support project teams through complex tasks.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate project managers.
  • Manage project finances, budgets, and scope.
  • Prioritize and manage project spending.
  • Design solutions compliant with safety standards and regulations.
  • Plan and schedule project activities efficiently.
  • Minimize costs and maximize project value.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop detailed project execution plans.
  • Manage procurement processes.
  • Explore innovative approaches for project design and construction.
  • Oversee project start-up and commissioning.
  • Coordinate engineering support for validation activities.
  • Complete project close-out according to procedures.

What skill/experience you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical/mechanical/Automation/Process Engineering, coupled with pertinent experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Show capacity to manage projects effectively from start to finish, including design, implementation, and handover.
  • Have experience leading diverse teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Understand project management processes and have experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in designing complex projects in pharmaceuticals is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using SAP and budgeting tools is preferred.
  • People management skills and PMP® certification or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is desirable.
  • Experience in Biologic Manufacturing sites is a plus.
