My client based in North Dublin have created a new position for a Finance Director to help with the commercial finance and strategic growth of the company. To be suitable you must be coming from a Construction or Engineering background with some international finance exposure

About Your New Job

• Overseeing all financial activities of the b
• Providing the Managing Director with strategic financial management
• Undertaking financial planning and directing the financial operations of the business
• Maintain and develop the finance function
• Contribute to overall strategic planning as a key member of the Management Team.
• Analyse financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties 
• Monitoring cash flow and raising investment
• To lead on the preparation of annual budgets
• Make recommendations on improving the accuracy of the revenue forecasts and creating new models to predict future financial performance 
• Financial risk management.
• Managing auditing and taxation responsibilities.
• Developing and implementing accounting policies.
• Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency, and provide cost savings.
• Ensuring that all finance processes align with relevant financial/accounting/tax laws.

What Skills You Need

• 10+ years’ experience in the financial sector with experience of financial management and finance reporting at a senior level
• 5+ years’ experience in a management role.
• Experience of overseeing preparation of budgets and managing active forecasting of income and expenditure 
• Relevant industry experience in construction / engineering / technical business sectors in multinational business context. Experience of compliance for organisations across different EU countries is desirable.
